3-­Day Desert Experience 10 km Hike Daily

Tel Aviv Departure: Hayarkon 48 Hostel – (map)
Return: Bethlehem/Jerusalem
Cost: $575 per person​­ – requires a minimum of 4 people to run.

Day 1 – ­Thursday­ – Bethlehem to Tal Al­Qamar:

Pick up from Jerusalem for transfer to meet the Palestinian Guide in Bethlehem where the tour will begin. Start with a viewing the Separation Wall, then walk to Aida Refugee Camp for a visit with the locals and at the Center. Walk through Bethlehem to Manger Square, ­visit the Nativity Church, have a light snack and brief visit of the Old City to see the shops and market before the hiking begins to Tal Al­Qamar.
This 10km hike will take approximately 3­ hours viewing the towns of Beit Sahour, Shawarwa village, and Bedouin Camps.
Upon arrival in Tal Al ­Qamar ­ you’ll have time to rest. In the evening, enjoy musical entertainment,
dinner and the great outdoors.
Overnight on the Camp Site.


Day 2­ – Friday – Tal Al ­Qamar to Mar Saba:

Wake up to the morning sunrise and enjoy breakfast. Today starts with a 10km hike to Mar Saba ­ view the site of Mar Saba Monastery, chance for candid photo taking. This hike takes the full morning with stops en route to rest and view the beautiful scenery. Transportation will pick up the group from Mar Saba for return back to Tel Al Qamar. 
Lunch on site. After lunch an adventurous Jeep ride through the Jerusalem Desert to the cliff of the Dead Sea. View the Dead Sea before return to the Camp Site.
In the evening, experience the outdoors with Star Gazing ­ through a telescope, then dinner under the stars with a bonfire.
Overnight at the Camp Site.



Day 3 -­ Saturday – Mar Saba to Nabi Musa to Jericho & Dead Sea:

The final day you will depart from Tal Al Qamar. Pack up your luggage in the vehicle and off to Mar Saba to continue the hike through the desert. Today’s 10km hike will travel from Mar Saba to Maqam Al Nabi Musa. Stop to get a view of the exquisite Mosque. The vehicle will pick up the group for a ride to Jericho. Take the Cable Cars for an overview of all of Jericho. Have lunch on the Mount of Temptation. Spend the end of the tour with a float in the healing waters of the Dead Sea The tour ends returning back to Jerusalem or Bethlehem.
